Connect games with a learning goal

Notice whether the child is answering independently or following the adult’s cues. If every response is supplied first, ask the teacher to include a suitable unprompted attempt.

If tiredness regularly prevents participation, review the timing and workload. More colourful content is not always the answer. Ask whether a smaller task or another slot would suit the child better.
Prepare the online setup
Test the audio and make sure the child can see the text or pictures clearly. Have any required writing materials ready. Agree whether a parent should remain nearby and how to help with the device without answering the language task.
Confirm approved communication channels and recording arrangements with the provider. Learning at home does not remove the need for clear supervision and contact procedures.
