According to the student’s level evaluated in the trial class and based on individual goals and needs, the student can start one of the following Tajweed programs:

• Basic Tajweed

This level is designed for beginners who can already read Arabic or Qur’anic script but need to learn the correct pronunciation and the foundational rules of Tajweed.
Students will study:

The Makharij (points of articulation) of the Arabic letters

The Sifaat (characteristics) of letters

Basic Tajweed rules such as Madd (elongation), Ghunna (nasal sound), and Noon & Meem rules
By the end of this stage, the student will be able to recite short Surahs correctly and confidently with proper pronunciation.

• Advanced Tajweed

In this program, students deepen their understanding of the detailed rules of Tajweed and learn how to apply them fluently throughout the Qur’an.
They will:

Study advanced topics such as Idgham, Ikhfa, Qalqalah, and heavy/light letters

Practice flow and rhythm to beautify recitation

Receive individual feedback from certified teachers to perfect articulation and fluency

By the end of this course, the student will be able to recite the Qur’an smoothly, accurately, and melodiously, in accordance with the classical Tajweed principles.

• Ijaza Preparation (Optional)

For students aiming for Ijaza certification, this program focuses on precision, consistency, and mastery of every rule of Tajweed while reciting under the supervision of qualified Qurra’ (reciters).
Students will revise and apply all Tajweed rules and prepare for a complete recitation under their teacher’s guidance.

Certification

Upon successful completion of each level, Muslim Academy grants a certificate of achievement recognizing the student’s progress and mastery in Tajweed.
